ethnic Hero: Former Taiwan Governor Liu Mingchuan
According to legend, one day in the late Qing Dynasty, the leader of the HuaiArmy Li Hongzhang took three young men in the army to meet with the founder ofthe Xiang Army, Zeng Guofan. The main purpose is to find a good way out forthese three people.
Zeng Guofan secretly observed the three people behind the screen. He sawthe first person who had been looking at interior decoration. His eyeswere turning and his expression was very rich. The second one stood withhis hands down and his eyes fixed on his own eyes. He was very serious andrespectful. However, the third one is just as cool ascucumber. Although he had a few pockmarks on his face, he couldn't hidehis heroism.
After a brief conversation in the stills of "The Merchants of theQing Dynasty," Zeng Guofan knew what he was talking about. Hewas the first agile and adept at making progress, but a little frivolity wasnot a big deal. The second is honesty and reliability, more than calmness, lack of vitality; only those who have elegant manners, arrogant manners, andlofty minds will become great tools for the future.
Li Hongzhang was taken aback and thought that the teacher's ability torecognize people was really good.
In the following decades, General Ma face really grew into a governmentofficial. This man is the general of the Huai Army and the first governorof Taiwan, Liu Mingchuan.
The young hero Liu Liu's mother
Liu Mingchuan is the third province of Chinese characters. He is Hefei, LiHongzhang's hometown. He is the sixth in the family. He was called"Liu Liumazi" because he had suffered from smallpox when he was achild, and he had left pock on his face after healed.
He didn't like studying literature when he was young. He likes playingguns and is very good at it. In addition, he has a magnificent physique, which makes him a little famous among his neighbors near and far. In thelate Qing Dynasty, social unrest, peasant uprisings, soldiers and banditsappeared one after another, and the trend of organizing self-defense groups inrural areas became more and more obvious. Liu Mingchuan's hometown is noexception, he became the head of training for the League Department.
There is another story about his team training in thefilm "Certificate of Appreciation" .
In 1854, when the local tyrants came to Liu Mingchuan's hometown, Liu Jiawei,to ask for money and food in the name of defending the place, Liu Mingchuan'sfather could not get them out, and was beaten and abused by the localtyrants. The 18-year-old Liu Mingchuan was arrested by the tyrants and hadan argument with them.
The native emperor has always been a fish in the village. He is used toheinous behavior. He didn't care about the little boy at all. Heraised his sabre arrogantly and said, "Don't force your child, you can cutme off."
Liu Mingchuan was the most frustrated. His eyes were staring at him, hisheart was level. He rushed up and grabbed the knife. He saw a whitelight. The emperor's eyes were wide open, and his neck wasbloodshot. He realized he couldn't live.
Onlookers in "Come to the Name" fled one afteranother. Liu Mingchuan climbed up the mountain and said loudly that theworld was so chaotic that we couldn't be bullied like this anymore. Thosewho wanted to defend their hometown participated in the Liu Liumazi trainingcamp with me.
Upon hearing this, the enthusiastic youth recognized Liu Mingchuan as theleader. The Liu family is powerful in the area. In the long run, LiuMingchuan's men even gathered hundreds of people and became one of the threeregiments in Xixiang (now Anhui Feixi).
The wise man among the military commanders In
1862, Li Hongzhang led the Huai Army into Shanghai and joined the localregiment along the way. Liu Mingchuan and his regiment were incorporatedinto the Huai Army and named "Ziming Camp." He fought extremelyfiercely, and soon became famous in various departments of the Huai Army.
Although Liu Mingchuan's status is not high, his combat ideas are very clear. He accurately saw the weaknesses of the Taiping Army in the Soviet Union andShanghai.
First, the Taiping Army lost the flexibility of mobile operations at that time, and was thinking of attacking one city at a time. Significantlyreduced their threat.
Second, there are fewer and fewer backbone fighters from Guangxi. Most ofthe soldiers were newly recruited from Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and their combateffectiveness was not as good as before.
Third, Li Xiucheng must deal with both the Huai Army in the Jiangsu andShanghai directions and the Xiang Army in the Tianjin direction. Both of theseforces are relatively weak.
Liu Mingchuan , still in the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, seized theweakness of the Taiping Army and urged his ministry not to be afraid of theTaiping Army and continue to advance their lives. During the First WorldWar, in the suburbs of Shanghai, foreign gun teams and the Green Army werebeaten by the Taiping Army, but the Huai Army Department resisted the TaipingArmy
